Race for Sight

Give the Gift of Sight by participating in the Lions Eye Institute Foundation's 8th Annual Race For Sight on Saturday March 21st 2009.

The Race for Sight is a 5K race accompanied by a one mile family-fun walk.Taking place in historic Ybor city, the Race for Sight entails a jam packed morning with great music, an award ceremony, a victory celebration, and all the food and free prizes you can imagine!  The Race for Sight celebrates and builds awareness of organ donation, which makes sight-saving and restoring corneal transplants possible. The Foundation’s vision is to assure that any person in need of a cornea for transplant will receive one, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. In addition, the Foundation allocates funds to programs that enhance the quality of life for blind and visually impaired individuals. We also aim to increase research and education dollars for sight-related issues, and ensure the sustainability and expansion of the Foundation’s programs and services.
